2021 Edition Philosophy Major Training Program
I. Training objectives
This major aims to cultivate theoretical research-oriented and complex talents with good character, virtue and talent. It requires adherence to correct political standpoint and direction, the ability to adapt to the needs of globalization and China's modernization, solid philosophical theoretical literacy, the ability to carry out self-conscious rational reflection, and the possession of a strong humanistic spirit and sense of innovation.
II. Training requirements
1. Graduates of this program should have a strong interest in pursuing a broad range of natural, social and humanistic knowledge, a strong capacity for independent learning and self-improvement, and a strong awareness of lifelong learning;
2. Be able to systematically master the development, basic theories and research methods of Marxist philosophy, Western philosophy, Chinese philosophy and other philosophical disciplines, and have good philosophical reasoning ability;
3. Possess excellent oral and written expression skills, as well as good coordination, communication and management skills, and a relatively systematic mastery of a foreign language, including listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities;
4. Have a strong sense of innovation, be relatively proficient in modern information technology, able to track academic frontiers, and skillfully use theoretical thinking to identify, analyze and solve problems;
5. Possess a strong sense of social responsibility and good ethical spirit and moral character, be physically and mentally healthy, and be able to proactively adapt to domestic and international situations and environments.

Bilingual teaching courses: Selected Original Works of Modern Western Philosophy, Modern Western Philosophy, Analytic Philosophy.
